Barry Smith Jr. moved to Charlotte, North Carolina when he was very young. Growing up, Barry consumed as much art as he could get his hands on; he read books like Harry Potter, played games like Diablo, and listened to music often. His diverse background has allowed him to develop a more broad perspective, which he utilizes to approach situations from outside the box, when necessary.
Among his most prominent works is Ballad of the Vagabond, a short story Barry wrote as an undergraduate at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Since then, he has edited numerous works and continues to write.
Currently, Barry lives near Seoul, South Korea, where he continues to develop and improve his abilities. He has been teaching English there since 2020, where he has been furthering his learning, and absorbing inspiration from various cultures. His most active works include his series titled, “Late to the Party,” where Barry reviews games, as well as his active participation in an online, text-based Dungeons and Dragons community with nearly 200 active members.
